The Glamourous Goth. – Bethany Rutter

On Christmas Eve I channelled my inner Wednesday Addams. That morning I’d woken up to an early Christmas present : a dress to review from One Stop Plus! I chose a simple black shirt dress which has now been massively reduced in the sale (even better), and I’ve got to say, I love it. The dress arrived very, very swiftly indeed. It fits perfectly, it’s exactly the right length, the cuffs are optimally sized. You can roll the sleeves up and button them in place, but I like the look of the long sleeves. I wore it to visit some family friends in the late afternoon and evening, then to see lots of old school chums in the pub, and it got a great response (thanks guys!). It’s very sleek and feels lovely and soft, it’s perfectly opaque so no cheeky bra visible through the material. Apparently my darling ma used to have a French Connection dress exactly the same in the early ’80s that she wore with a red belt and a red tartan scarf, which is a look I may emulate should I chance upon a tartan scarf.
