Dogtooth isn’t a print I think of often. It doesn’t reside in the same category as stars or tropical prints as a go-to, fix-all happy fashion cure. But once in a while, it works for me. This is the dress I picked up off Michelle of Red Bows Boutique at Plus London at the weekend and could not wait to break it out! It took me from magazine office (eating biscuits and fiddling around on InDesign) to film première (Best Exotic Marigold Hotel!) to sipping drinks and dancing with pretty girls at Ruby Tuesdays. A winner.
It may have been something to do with what a beautiful day it was when I left the house, but when I was out and about in this outfit, I felt really great. Despite its demure appearance, this is a bad-girl, high-self-esteem, look-at-me outfit, and I love it. It’s days like this where I wonder why I’ve ever bothered putting myself down.
