I was sent on a mission to peruse the New Look Inspire site and draw up a wishlist of my favourite plus size dresses, and this is what I came up with! As you can see, I’m pretty much exclusively drawn to shades of green and blue right now – powder blue, teal, mint, seafoam, kelly green, florals, polka dots, chambray denim – I’m into it. Although when I wear dresses I often end up posting them on here, most days I elect to wear trousers or jeans and a top, and I feel I’m kind of out of the habit of dresses. With the recent warm weather, I’m thinking it may be time to shake that up and get into some summer dress-wearing!
I reckon the top left and bottom right, which are the same style in different prints and fabrics, would make perfect summer wedding-guest outfits. They’re chic, simple and pretty. For daywear purposes, I am 100% into pale, washed-out denim, and these two chambray beauties are easy warm-weather solutions. The sleeveless denim shirt-dress is plain and classic, and I’m a sucker for a proper collar, not to mention a well-placed pocket. The sweetheart neckline and the tie waist on the bottom right dress are super lovely details, and I think I’m going to make the effort to seek this dress out and try it on. I am extremely attached to the beautiful green of the plain, shirred-waist dress and reckon this colour is a particularly good move for all my fellow dark-haired babes. I’m feeling delicate gold accessories… and by ‘delicate gold accessories’ I no doubt mean the enormous gold hoops I wear on a near-daily basis.
