work it!

So, the job interview outfit I posted a couple of weeks ago was successful and as of Monday I’ve been working! My first grownup job, I guess. Although my office isn’t super formal, I can’t really wear dungarees and mesh bodysuits… Simply Be kindly stepped in to help me rejig my wardrobe and here is the first workwear post, courtesy of Simply Be.

I’d been hardcore lusting after this dress since it launched but knew, realistically, it didn’t really have a place in my life. Until now! I just love everything about it – the long sleeves, the slightly puffy shoulders, the suggestion of a peplum at the waist, the gorgeously demure length, the semi-wrap style. It feels like a really reliable, easy-to-wear dress, and I am so glad I now have it.

I was the grateful recipient of this lovely MAC lipstick that my dad got given in a goodie bag at a party and had little use for. It’s Costa Chic, and it’s not a colour or texture (it’s one of their Frost finishes and I’m a Matte devotee) I would go for myself, but I’m very pleased it’s come my way. A sweet, subtle, summery lipstick.
